Welcome to our online booking site. Our clients are now able to book online with our therapy team directly. To book an appointment with your family practice physician, or with one of our sport medicine physicians, you’ll be required to call our office to schedule your appointment.

Our clinics DO NOT see Workplace Safety Board (WSIB) or for Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims, or direct bill to extended health benefits. Patients will be required to submit their own claims to their insurance company for reimbursement.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy involves restoring and maintaining functional movement, reducing pain, and promoting health. Through the use of manual therapy, exercise prescription, and adjunctive therapies (i.e. acupuncture, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, TENS), physiotherapy helps to reduce pain while promoting mobility, function, and well-being.


Chiropractic

Chiropractors are specialists in the manual adjustment of the vertebrae of the spine and other joints. The treatments may vary but the objective doesn’t: An athletic therapist's goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or continuing activities of daily living.

Massage therapy consists of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints for the purpose of optimizing health. Massage has a therapeutic effect on improving circulation, mobility, reducing muscle tension, and increasing relaxation.

Overall patient function can be developed, maintained, and improved; and physical dysfunction, pain, and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of massage therapy.

In the past, Brian has worked in various health and fitness clubs and spas around Toronto. As a Registered Massage Therapist, he has worked with the National Ballet of Canada, Toronto Argonaut Football Club (of the CFL), and the Ottawa Senators (of the NHL).

Brian graduated to a clinic environment in the last number of years to serve all types of patients and a wider spectrum of clients whether it be through general relaxing technique for the ‘stressed out’ office worker, weekend warrior, or the occasional amateur and professional athlete. Fascial release and trigger point work are his go to modalities.

He always strives to do his best through massage therapy and manipulation of the soft tissues, all the while, listening to both the client and their bodily responses, in order to help an individual achieve and manifest all they were created to be!

Since completing her physiotherapy training at the University of Alberta, Joanne has worked in a variety of clinical and hospital settings in British Columbia and Ontario.

She regularly updates her expertise with continuing education and has a passion for evidence-based sports medicine. Joanne joined the Sport Medicine Clinic in 2009 when she relocated to Toronto and has built a thriving practice with diverse clientele. Outside of the Clinic, Joanne provides in-home therapy to palliative and geriatric populations.

Bob has been a massage therapist for almost 40 years, providing therapies for amateur and professional athletes around the world. Because he now regularly works with patients from Bay St., Bob has also become very familiar with a wide range of work related injuries.

Depending upon your injury or area of discomfort, Bob may use a variety of treatments to help you return to your best state including (but not limited to) shockwave therapy and Theragun. He specializes in sport and deep tissue massage.

Briana has experience treating various orthopaedic and sports related injuries ranging from ligament sprains/muscle strains to rehabilitation for fractures and post-operative conditions. From 2013-2015, Briana worked in an orthopaedic clinic, working closely with two orthopaedic surgeons who specialized in knee arthroscopic surgery. She provided pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation for patients with ACL tears/repairs, meniscus tears/repairs, MCL sprains, and Osteoarthritis (OA). Here she also gained significant experience in administering shockwave therapy for conditions including: plantarfasciitis, tendinopathies, bony conditions (eg. Osgoode Schlatters), and for myofascial release. Briana provides cybex strength testing and training for various knee injuries including post-operative conditions.

In addition to her experience providing physiotherapy for knee injuries, Briana developed a special interest in rehabilitation for shoulder injuries (sports related and post-surgical). Briana completed the “Mastering the Shoulder” Level 1 and Level 2 course (instructed by Cameron Bennett) and has found this method of diagnosis and active rehabilitation to be an integral part of her rehabilitation of shoulder related injury. She continues to pursue further coursework on shoulder rehabilitation.

Briana has a background in dance and a keen interest in rehabilitation for the fine arts. She attended the Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement where she completed her grade 8 medal, pre-professional advanced foundation examinations in RAD ballet. She attended Etobicoke School of the Arts as a dance major where she furthered her studies in ballet and modern dance. Briana has completed rehabilitation for several of her own injuries and understands the importance of active rehabilitation for full return to sport. Her current training includes: running, pilates, and weight training.

Chris Broadhurst is the Manager of the Adelaide Health Clinic.

Chris was involved in the National Hockey League for over 20 years and served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Phoenix Coyotes. He was honored to serve as an Athletic Therapist at the 1988 and 2002 NHL All-Star Games and with the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Dr. Lawrence Micheli studied Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and graduated with Honours for his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic. After graduation, he served as an Active Release Technique (ART) instructor for over 13 years.
