Our clinics DO NOT see Workplace Safety Board (WSIB) or for Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims, or direct bill to extended health benefits. Patients will be required to submit their own claims to their insurance company for reimbursement.

Physiotherapy involves restoring and maintaining functional movement, reducing pain, and promoting health. Through the use of manual therapy, exercise prescription, and adjunctive therapies (i.e. acupuncture, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, TENS), physiotherapy helps to reduce pain while promoting mobility, function, and well-being.

Dr. Nader Abdelkader holds a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Manitoba where he was also competing at the national fencing circuit. During his athletic career, his appreciation for sports medicine sparked interest having sustained several sports injuries himself. Combining his passions for health sciences and sports, he further pursued his academics at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He is currently completing his post graduate fellowship from the Royal College of Chiropractors of Sports Sciences.

Dr. Abdelkader’s clinical practice includes proficient diagnoses of the neuromusculoskeletal system, manual-therapy, and rehabilitative exercises prescribed specifically to each of his patient’s needs.

Dr. Abdelkader is currently conducting various scientific research in the area of dynamic balance assessments in the athletic populations. During his academia, he’s had experience in internships and placements at various hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area, and other specialized sports medicine clinics involved in advanced therapeutics and surgical consultations.

Dr. Abdelkader focuses in the area of lunging biomechanics, fencing and racket sport injuries, and sports performance and conditioning. He is currently chairing the Medical & Health committee of the Ontario Fencing Association, and the lead medical consultant of the Canadian National Fencing team. Notably, he was part of the medical team for the 2019 Canada Cup Squash (a Professional Squash Association event), Fencing World Championships 2018-19, and Toronto 2015 Pan-Am Games.

Amjad excelled in athletics from a young age. Growing up, he watched the best athletes in the world, observing their performances, and wondering what it took to perform at their elite level consistently. Soccer and basketball were his most-played sports growing up. His experience going through his own personal sport injuries introduced him to the field of Sport Medicine. He learned that musculoskeletal injuries are causal and require specialized physical rehabilitation to fully recover from. To further educate himself in the field of Sport Medicine, he completed a Human Kinetics degree at University of Ottawa, then went on to complete a second degree in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. He has also completed Massage Therapy School, and other courses in Fascial Stretch Therapy and Neural Tissue Mobilization.

As a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist, Amjad helps the active population stay injury-free, return to their sports and physical activities following an injury, as well as achieve peak performances. Jacqueline is an experienced massage therapist who has been in practice for over 20 years. She had extensive training for this career path at Centennial College throughout a three year program. During this period, she attended specialized outreach programs including clinics for seniors, Fibromyalgia patients, Developmentally Challenged individuals as well as palliative care, and graduated with exemplary marks from this program.

Jacqueline was involved in a busy practice at a health club as well as a multi-disciplinary clinic with chiropractors for the better part of a decade, and during that time specialized in treatment of various rehabilitation treatments of sports injuries such as tendonitis (ex. tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, rotator cuff injuries, etc). Chris Broadhurst is the Manager of the Adelaide Health Clinic.

Chris was involved in the National Hockey League for over 20 years and served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Phoenix Coyotes. He was honored to serve as an Athletic Therapist at the 1988 and 2002 NHL All-Star Games and with the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Vivian started to lift weights as a skinny teenager and quickly learned the feel-good value of regular exercise. She played some sports in high school, not at a high skill level, but enjoyed participating in physical activity as a part of a team. At the suggestion of her history teacher, she applied to study physical education and it was the best decision ever! Studying physical education at the University of Toronto fuelled her interest in health and wellness, which became a passion in empowering others.

Vivian started a career in personal training over 20 years ago and returned to teaching group exercise in 2016 with the Toronto Athletic Club and the Adelaide Club. Teaching a variety of classes at the Clubs was awesome, as Vivian so enjoyed sharing fitness, health, and yoga with as many people as possible. A new weekly playlist at her cycle class was always a major highlight!

It took a few years to learn balance in physical exercise and finding yoga practice was a turning point in truly tuning in and learning how much exercise is healthy. Having meditation as a daily habit is key, so is doing what you love! Finding appreciation anywhere you are in life, especially for people around you, helps bring more fulfillment.

Dr. Pitt is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), has Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP), and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQ-SM) from the ABFM. He graduated magna cum laude with his undergraduate degree in physiology from the University of Ottawa, then earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from Brock University. Dr. Sayde completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario in Biochemistry and Physiology before obtaining his medical degree at the University of Balamand in Beirut, Lebanon. He then moved to Philadelphia where he completed his 3-year residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center. Fouad then moved to Detroit, Michigan for his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Health System, one of the top ranked Sports Medicine programs in North America.

He has worked with multiple professional sports teams and elite athletes including the Detroit Tigers (MLB), Detroit Lions (NFL), and Canada Basketball (FIBA). He was the team physician for the University of Detroit Mercy NCAA Division I varsity athletes. During his tenure in Michigan, he also provided medical coverage for sporting events including the 2017 Detroit Marathon, the 2018 NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament, the 2018 Michigan Special Olympics, and local high school football teams.
